We operate two regular event stations.
GB5HW is the first one in our calendar. The club operates a portable station from Heage Windmill in North Derbyshire http://heagewindmill.belperschool.co.uk/ as part of the National Mills Weekend organised by Denby Dale ARS
<http://www.qsl.net/g4cdd/mills.htm The purpose of the weekend is for amateur radio groups around the country to establish stations at as many windmills and watermills as possible and for other amateur radio enthusiasts and shortwave listeners to try to contact them.

GB2ECR is our other regular event station. This station is established at the Elvaston Castle Radio Rally which takes place on the 2nd Sunday in June each year. The purpose of this station is not only to make the amateur radio fraternity aware of the forthcoming rally but also to allow those who are intending to visit the rally to contact the station for information. In recent years Joe Bell G4PMY http://www.bellradio.co.uk/amateur.htm has very kindly allowed us to use his Russian Communications Vehicle as the station HQ for the Saturday and Sunday of the rally weekend. |
